Anon eSIM on iPhone 14
Your iPhone 14 supports eSIM - installing Anon eSIM takes about a minute, and your existing SIM keeps working alongside it.
Install steps
- 1. Open Settings → Cellular.
- 2. Tap Add eSIM → Use QR Code.
- 3. Point the camera at the QR we show after payment - or, if you bought on this iPhone 14, just tap "Install on this iPhone" and skip the QR entirely.
- 4. Label it "Anon eSIM" and choose it as your data line; leave calls and iMessage on your primary.
- 5. Turn Data Roaming ON for the Anon eSIM line only.
The APN configures itself with the profile - no manual settings on iOS. The one requirement worth checking before you travel: the iPhone 14 must be carrier-unlocked. A phone still locked to its original carrier refuses outside profiles.
Dual SIM on the iPhone 14
The standard travel setup keeps two lines active: your primary SIM for calls, texts, and 2FA codes (with its data roaming OFF so it can't rack up day-pass fees), and Anon eSIM as the data line. iOS shows separate signal indicators for each and lets you flip the data line in one tap - useful if you want to switch back on Wi-Fi-only days.
If it doesn't connect
Ninety percent of "no service" reports are one of three toggles: Data Roaming off on the Anon line, mobile data still routed to the primary SIM, or a stale network scan - toggle airplane mode once after landing. If the line stays on "Searching" for more than a couple of minutes, manually select a partner network from Settings once; after that, automatic selection takes over. Balance empty? Data stops cleanly - top up and it resumes within a minute.
iPhone 14 eSIM FAQ
Does the iPhone 14 support eSIM?+
Yes. The iPhone 14 has a built-in eSIM chip and works with Anon eSIM out of the box. The only requirement is that the device is carrier-unlocked - a carrier-locked phone rejects any outside profile, physical or eSIM.
How do I install Anon eSIM on the iPhone 14?+
Two ways: scan the QR code we show after payment (Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code), or - if you're buying on the iPhone 14 itself - tap "Install on this iPhone" for a one-tap install with no QR at all. Either takes about a minute.
Can I keep my main SIM active on the iPhone 14?+
Yes - dual SIM is the normal setup. Keep your primary line for calls, texts, and 2FA codes, and set Anon eSIM as the mobile-data line while traveling. iOS lets you choose per-line which SIM handles data.
Why isn't my iPhone 14 connecting after install?+
Check three things in order: Data Roaming is ON for the Anon eSIM line (it's a roaming profile everywhere by design), the Anon eSIM line is selected for mobile data, and airplane mode has been toggled once to force a fresh network scan. The APN configures itself - never enter one manually.
