How Anon eSIM works

Install the eSIM QR
We show the QR immediately after payment. iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM - or one-tap install, no QR. Android: Settings → Network → SIMs → Add eSIM.

Your phone connects to a local network automatically. Switch borders, network switches with you.

What's happening under the hood
The account model. There isn't one - at checkout we generate a random recovery token, store its hash, and that hash is your entire identity with us: it links an eSIM (ICCID), a USD balance, and aggregate megabytes used. No name, no email, no password reset flow, nothing to breach. Details on the anonymous eSIM page.
The network model. Your eSIM is a global roaming profile: in each country it attaches to major local networks (Verizon/AT&T/T-Mobile in the US, EE/O2/Vodafone in the UK, and so on - each country page lists its partners). The phone picks the strongest partner signal automatically and re-selects as you move or cross borders. The APN provisions itself; the only switch you flip is Data Roaming ON for the Anon line.
The billing model. Data meters per MB at the country's published rate - wholesale × 2, listed for every destination on the rates page. No daily fees, no bundles, no expiry: a light day costs cents, and unused balance waits for your next trip.
Setup FAQ
What exactly is the recovery token?+
A long random string generated at checkout - the only key to your eSIM and balance. We store a hash of it, never the token itself, so nobody (including us) can access your eSIM without it. Save it somewhere durable; optionally attach an email as a backup.
Why do I need Data Roaming turned on?+
The eSIM is technically a roaming profile everywhere it operates - that's how one profile covers 200+ countries. Data Roaming ON for the Anon eSIM line tells your phone to use it; your primary SIM's roaming setting stays off and untouched.
What happens when my balance hits zero?+
Data stops cleanly - no overdraft, no surprise bill. Top up from the account page (card or crypto, $5 minimum, no fee) and you're back online within a minute. The eSIM itself never expires.
The eSIM installed but shows 'No Service' - what do I check?+
In order: Data Roaming ON for the Anon line, the Anon line selected for mobile data, then toggle airplane mode once to force a network re-scan. The APN is automatic - never enter one manually.
