Most carriers tie your mobile data to a verified identity: passport, address, credit card. That identity is then sold, leaked, subpoenaed, or pieced together by data brokers.

"Anonymous" is only meaningful relative to an adversary. Here are the three we hear about most, ranked from most to least common, with an honest verdict for each. The details vary by country: compare a market with no national registration mandate, such as the United States or United Kingdom, with mandatory local-SIM registration in Germany, Japan or Thailand.
Adversary: any company that buys, sells or loses customer records. Verdict: solved. There is no name, email, address or card on file with us to sell or lose. The carrier sees a foreign roaming SIM with no subscriber record attached.
Adversary: anyone who can compel or breach the provider. Verdict: largely solved. The complete record is a token-hash, an ICCID, a USD balance and a byte counter. If you paid by card, Stripe, not us, holds a card record; pay with Lightning or USDT from a self-custody wallet and even that link disappears.
Adversary: police or intelligence with a warrant on the carrier. Verdict: not solved by any SIM product. The network logs your IMEI, tower and traffic metadata; a warrant can pair that with CCTV, a Wi-Fi MAC or the phone you had before. An anonymous eSIM raises the cost of identification; it does not make it impossible. "Anonymous" gets stretched a lot in this industry, so here is our model, mechanically. When you buy, our server generates a random recovery token - a long unguessable string. We store only a cryptographic hash of it; the token itself lives on your device. That token-hash is your account: it links to an eSIM identifier (ICCID), a USD balance, and a running total of megabytes used. That is the complete list of what we know about you.
There is no signup form to fill falsely, no email verification loop, no phone-number check. The three conditions that make an eSIM meaningfully anonymous - no identity check at purchase, no mandatory personal identifiers, and an anonymous payment rail - all hold at once. Compare that to "no-KYC" competitors that still require an email address and an account: that's pseudonymity with a paper trail, not anonymity.

Honesty matters more than marketing here. Two things no anonymous eSIM can deliver, ours included: it cannot hide your device's location from the mobile network - any active SIM exchanges signaling with the towers around it; that is how cellular works. And it cannot encrypt your traffic - use TLS, encrypted DNS, and a VPN for content privacy. The eSIM answers "who is holding this SIM?" with "nobody knows"; it doesn't change what the SIM transmits.
The realistic threat model: an anonymous eSIM is excellent against data brokers, advertising profiles, breach dumps, and any process that starts with "give us the subscriber's name." It is not a defense against state-level adversaries with lawful-intercept access to the underlying carrier. For most travelers the goal is simpler - stop handing a passport copy to a company you'll never speak to again just to get data abroad.
"Anonymous" is a stack, not a single switch. Any mobile session touches five identifiers, and different products control different subsets. An anonymous eSIM addresses the top of the stack; the bottom needs different tools.

These stack. The combination most privacy-conscious travellers settle on is an anonymous eSIM for the network layer, a VPN or Tor for the content layer, and — only if the threat model justifies it — a separate handset. Using an anonymous eSIM in the phone that also holds your personal SIM ties the two together at the carrier through the shared IMEI; that is fine against data brokers, and pointless against a warrant. The difference an anonymous eSIM makes is at the top of the stack: none of that carrier telemetry is tied to a name, an email, or a payment identity we can hand over or lose. There is nothing on our side to unmask. If your threat model is a data broker, a marketing pipeline, or a breach dump, that gap is decisive. If your threat model is lawful intercept on the underlying carrier, no SIM product changes that.

A café Wi-Fi, Tor or a VPN keeps your home connection out of the request; our web server, like every web server, sees the visiting IP for the duration of the request.

We never ask for a name, email, address, phone number, or ID. The only identifier on your account is a random recovery token generated at purchase and stored hashed on our side. There is nothing to leak, subpoena, or sell because we never collected it.

Yes, for personal use in virtually every country. The eSIM is issued from a jurisdiction that permits ID-free prepaid SIMs, and you use it abroad as a visitor on a roaming profile - the same legal footing as any travel SIM.
Not from us and, in practice, not from anyone: numbers are what SIM-registration laws bind identity to, so every genuinely no-KYC eSIM is data-only. Use the data for encrypted messaging and VoIP; if you need an inbound number, pair a separate VoIP or receive-SMS service and accept that its privacy is its own question.
No-KYC means the provider skipped the identity check. Anonymous is stricter: no ID, no email, no account, and ideally an anonymous payment rail. Several no-KYC providers still require an email and hold a plan history against it. Anon eSIM is both by default.
The local network sees a roaming SIM from a foreign operator, exactly as it would for any visitor on their home SIM. It has no way to know whether that operator collected KYC.

Not collected: your name, email (unless you choose to add a backup), address, phone number, domains visited or destination IPs.
