Should I pay on-chain or with Lightning?+
Lightning for typical $5–$50 top-ups: it settles in seconds with sub-cent fees. On-chain BTC makes sense for larger amounts where a $1–5 mempool fee is a small fraction of the payment - expect one confirmation (~10–20 minutes) before the eSIM is issued.
Is a Bitcoin eSIM purchase really anonymous?+
On our side, completely: the payment arrives with no name, email, or card attached, and your account is a random recovery token. For chain-level privacy, pay via Lightning or with coins from a non-custodial wallet - BTC bought on a KYC exchange carries that exchange's paper trail.
What if the BTC price moves while I'm paying?+
The invoice locks a BTC amount at creation and stays valid for its lifetime (about an hour). Pay the quoted amount and you're credited the full USD value; tiny network-fee shortfalls within ~2% are accepted automatically.
