Why crypto completes the anonymity
Anon eSIM never asks who you are - no KYC, no email, no account. Pay by card and that holds on our side, but Stripe still sees a card with a name on it. Pay with crypto and the last identity link disappears: the invoice is a bare address or Lightning string, the payment arrives with nothing attached, and your entire relationship with us is a random recovery token hashed in our database. That's the full three-condition anonymity test - no ID check, no personal identifiers, anonymous payment rail - covered in depth on the anonymous eSIM page.
How crypto checkout works
- 1
Pick an amount and choose Crypto
From $5 of credit (plus the one-time $5 setup fee on a brand-new eSIM). No signup step exists.
- 2
Get a one-time invoice
The processor generates an address / Lightning invoice priced in your chosen coin, valid for one payment. Send exactly the quoted amount.
- 3
Payment confirms
Lightning and USDT land in seconds-to-minutes; on-chain BTC waits for a confirmation. Tiny network-fee shortfalls within ~2% are accepted automatically.
- 4
Your eSIM appears
The install QR (and one-tap iPhone link) shows immediately, along with your recovery token. Save the token - it's the only key to your balance.
Which rail to use
| Method | Settles in | Typical fee | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lightning | Seconds | < $0.05 | Everyday $5–$50 top-ups - the default choice |
| USDT (TRC-20) | 1–2 min | ~$1 | Stablecoin holders; no BTC price exposure |
| BTC on-chain | ~10–20 min | $1–5, mempool-dependent | Larger top-ups where the fee ratio doesn't sting |
Wallet privacy note: custodial wallets (exchanges, Wallet of Satoshi) know your identity from their own KYC - convenient, but it reintroduces a paper trail. Non-custodial Lightning wallets like Phoenix or Zeus keep the purchase fully yours. Crypto payment FAQ
Which cryptocurrencies can I pay with?+
Bitcoin on-chain, Bitcoin Lightning, and USDT (TRC-20 or ERC-20). Lightning is the best fit for typical $5–$50 top-ups: settlement in seconds with sub-cent fees.
Is paying with crypto really anonymous?+
On our side, yes - a crypto payment arrives with no name, email, or card attached, and your account is only a random recovery token. For chain-level privacy, Lightning or a non-custodial wallet avoids the KYC trail that custodial exchange wallets carry.
What if I send slightly too little?+
Small network-fee shortfalls (within ~2%) are accepted automatically. Larger underpayments show an outstanding-balance screen where you pay just the difference - you never lose what you already sent.
How fast does my eSIM activate after paying?+
Lightning and USDT confirm in seconds to a couple of minutes; on-chain BTC takes one confirmation (~10–20 minutes typically). The eSIM QR appears the moment the payment processor marks the invoice paid.
Can I top up with card later even if I bought with crypto?+
Yes - every payment method is available on every top-up. Same balance, same eSIM, whichever rail is convenient that day.
